Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Bergeron Land Development recently donated the materials and installation of a concrete learning pad at Plantation Elementary School, a Title I, Sprouting STEM Museum Magnet School. The pad will be used for the school’s Environmental STEM Learning Garden created to increase student achievement through enhanced parent involvement and engagement.
“We truly appreciate Bergeron’s kindness in supporting our entire school community,” said Darlene DeRusha, STEM Magnet Coordinator. “They have touched the lives of all our stakeholders though their support and have made a big difference.”

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Museum model provides an interactive learning environment that expands beyond the classroom walls to museums, community and the world. The integration of the Museum model in STEM curriculums offers students the opportunity to explore experiment, explain and exhibit research through engaging real world projects.
