Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Caterpillar Financial Services has announced that in 2016, Bergeron Land Development was the third largest purchaser of CAT machines in dollars spent for the Atlanta District of Caterpillar, which includes the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and parts of North Carolina. In response to the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) awarding Bergeron Land Development the Stormwater Treatment Area expansion project, Bergeron reached out to Kelly Tractor to purchase 31 new Caterpillar earthmoving machines. The high profile project will require 3.2 million cubic yards of excavation and embankment to create the canals and levees as part of the ongoing Everglades restoration.

“Our relationship with Bergeron Land Development spans four decades,” said Pat Kelly, President of Kelly Tractor in Miami. “We’re honored that they turned to us to support their efforts by delivering a multi-million dollar fleet of equipment. We look forward to many more years of mutual success.”

“Over the past 10 years, Caterpillar Financial has provided the financing and leasing of 58 CAT machines for Bergeron Land Development,” said Tom Austin, Senior Territory Manager for Caterpillar Financial Services. “We appreciate them allowing us to play a role in their growth and success.
