Bergeron Land Development (BLD) has announced that it has received the Award of Merit in the Specialty Construction Project category from ENR Southeast.  The award recognizes Bergeron’s role in the SunTrax Test Facility in Polk County, Florida.

When completed, SunTrax will be a state-of-the-art transportation technology testing facility already being touted for its potential to establish Florida as a transportation technology leader and create a high-tech hub for the research, development and testing of emerging transportation technologies. Bergeron Land Development constructed the 2.25 mile, bi-directional, oval track with adjacent straightaways extending into turnaround areas on each side of the oval track, and a total of four toll equipment buildings and four toll gantries.

The overall winner in the Specialty Construction Project category was the world’s first guitar-shaped hotel at the Hard Rock property in Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
